What to Write About Today …

I can't break the streak. I have to put out an entry into the blog today.  Four days in a row might actually be a record for me, I'll have to go back and look at the archives.  So here it is.  Now if I can only come up with a topic, I'll be much happier. 

How about just writing in general?  That sounds like it could be an interesting topic.  You'd never know it by the lack of output that I've had on here over the last year, but I do really love to write.  I keep telling myself that I'm going to write that novel one of these days.  "One of these days" always seems to be off in the future.  Oh, I make an occasional foray into the literary forests, but never anything that really sticks.  I believe the last thing I did was a piece of flash fiction on this very blog in May of 2008.  So it's time to get back at it.  Starting next Monday (always have to give yourself a starting point that isn't right now, right??), I'm going to set a goal for myself to write either a piece of flash fiction or a poem  each day.  After I get through one week, we'll explore further goals.

If anyone is actually reading this, I could use some suggestions.  Give me titles.  Given a title, I can run with it as my starting point.  I'll have to hit up my friends on Facebook as well.  Hopefully they'll be able to provide me with some inspiration and/or criticism.
